Any form of travel in this area involves a road journey at the start or end. Certain times of day are very congested, especially since work started on the Segensworth roundabout. You need to allow additional time for your journey in the immediate area if leaving after 7:30 a.m., as some routes to the A27 or M27 can be a problem.

If driving towards London on the M3, expect delays at the southern end of the M3 up to Junction 13 from around 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. If driving to London, you need to be passing Camberley before 7 a.m. to avoid the worst of the traffic along the whole M3.

If driving towards London on the A3, expect delays around Hindhead from around 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. If driving to London, you need to be passing Hindhead before 7 a.m. to avoid the worst of the traffic along the whole A3. Note that the northern end of the A3 can be VERY congested at all times.
